Cog does iOS: Now we're on phones
And now iPhones and iPads get Cog before GTA VI comes out. Even better.
Thanks to a bunch of awesome work, we're now at full format parity with the macOS desktop version, on iPhone and iPad. Heck, we even have Duo support already.
Now you can listen to a bunch of obscure formats on iPhone, even from your Files app folders on iCloud or possibly network shares, though I haven't tried that yet.
It even supports multi-track files as multiple playlist entries, and if they're in order, seamlessly playing them without even terminating the decode from each previous track, something that sort of soft fixes some of the seeking issues with some lossy formats, like Opus.
I just used it last night to listen to a mix album. Awesome stuff, hope you all like it as much as I do.
Same App Store entry as the Mac desktop version, linked from the main Cog web site, right from the App Store button.
Free to install, and I have no intention of ever making a subscription or tip jar mandatory for any functionality. Though larger tips are welcome if there's ever some function that requires a big purchase for me to test or implement something! Please ask first, though, I may not just automatically want to do something just because someone wants to fit the bill for it.
